Github CoPilot in IOS Apps

GitHub Copilot are primarily designed to work with Visual Studio Code (VS Code), Visual Studio, JetBrains and Neovim. And not supported officially Xcode. But you can use this insane features anyway. But which way is the smoothest.

Let’s deep into. Now i wanna tell my experience using GitHub Copilot With Visual Studio Code for iOS projects. I’ve heard many times that artificial intelligence will put programmers out of business via my colleagues. To be honest, i have no fear about this topic. But we have to say clearly that artificial intelligence will start to replace our colleagues even if in the software industry.

ENROLL GitHub Copilot

To use github copilot, you need to subscribe monthly or yearly.

GitHub Copilot PLUG-IN

To use github copilot in Visual Studio Code, you have to install Github Copilot plugin via VS Code -> Settings -> Plugins.

VSCode -> Code -> Settings -> Plugin

After installations process, you have to give a permission via github.

Now, you can see “Sign in to Github” labeled blue button which is the right corner of the VSCode. If you has not seen any pop-up, you need to hard resart VSCode a few times.

After clicking the blue button, you have to give permission to VSCode to open session via github just like below.

If you give a permission, you can redirect to github web page to show summarize permissions details. Let’s authorized Visual Studio Code via green button.

After that you redirect to VSCode.

Last permission pop-up before using co-pilot. Allow permission popup to mutually confirm.

You are to use Github Copilot with VSCode.
